    Littler delighted for breathing space

Luke Littler has shot to the top of the Premier League table, and after his third night win is now five points clear of Luke Humphries.

While his qualification for the play-offs is not yet confirmed, the teenager admitted he was glad for some breathing space ahead of the chasing pack.

I'm happy with the way I played in front of this lovely bunch of people. It's been looking tight [at the top of the table], but I'm glad to have won tonight and I'm out of the way a bit now.

    Luke Littler 6-2 Rob Cross

Luke Littler is the winner on Night 13 of the Premier League!

And the teenager saves some of his best for last, hitting two 180s before seeing the game out.

The crowd that began the night by booing the 17-year-old rise as one to salute him. That's how you win them over.

The Nuke is now on top of the table. Continue like this, and he'll soon be on top of the world.

    Luke Littler 5-2 Rob Cross

A first hold of the final for Rob Cross - and it gives him a slither of hope.

Voltage is buoyed by the last leg, and begins here with a maximum.

He continues to score well, and almost cleans up in 11 darts before taking another couple to clinch it.

    Luke Littler 5-1 Rob Cross

    BREAK OF THROW!

Rob Cross is on the board - and he deserves that for going so close to a 164 checkout.

As he finally hits a double, he responds with an ironic fist pump.

Mind you, if anyone has history of fighting back from big deficits...

    Luke Littler 5-0 Rob Cross

    BREAK OF THROW!

Are we heading for a whitewash?!

Rob Cross can barely look as Littler steps up and takes out double 10 with his opponent still some way off.

    Luke Littler 4-0 Rob Cross

    It's four!

Littler has ridden his luck tonight. He's played with emotion and off the energy (sometimes negative of the crowd).

But right now, he is just playing some exceptional darts.

Rob Cross has only had one throw at a double so far.

    Luke Littler 3-0 Rob Cross

    BREAK OF THROW!

And Rob Cross isn't getting near him.

The teenager has now won seven legs in a row after his comeback against Nathan Aspinall.

    Luke Littler 2-0 Rob Cross

An early two-leg lead for the Nuke!

Against the throw, Rob Cross put real pressure on his opponent, giving him the impression that he would have to take care of 86.

And take care he did - with just two darts.

The young man is enjoying himself out there tonight.

    Luke Littler 1-0 Rob Cross

    BREAK OF THROW!

What a start for the teenager!

Rob Cross goes so close to dealing with 126, his final throw nudging the wire.

But then Luke Littler takes out 111 - even if he did have to a moment's pause to deal with some very basic GCSE standard maths.

Leading Luke to cement top spot

Luke Littler moved to the top of the Premier League standings as soon as he took advantage of Luke Humphries' early defeat this evening - and now he can put himself in pole position by capping off his night in Liverpool with another victory.

Rob Cross is in his second Premier Leauge final of the season, and will want to make amends after being blown away 6-2 by Nathan Aspinall in Exeter on night five.

    The action comes next.

Michael van Gerwen 2-6 Rob Cross

BREAK OF THROW AND THE WIN!

Rob Cross is into his first Premier League final since Week Five in Exeter!

Voltage affords himself a wry smile, but will need to up his game to keep pace with the awaiting Luke Littler.

It's an unhappy birthday for Michael van Gerwen, who missed an astonishing 16 doubles throughout the contest.

Michael van Gerwen 2-5 Rob Cross

And now Rob Cross is one leg away.

This semi-final so far is summed up by the two players' highest outs.

Van Gerwen has missed 16 throws at doubles and his best checkout is 24, whereas Voltage has at least dealt with a tricky 121.

Michael van Gerwen 2-4 Rob Cross

    BREAK OF THROW!

Rob Cross begrudgingly breaks by finding double five after multiple missed opportunities.

Voltage is the better player right now but that's not saying much.

MVG is averaging around the 90 mark while the Englishman is pushing towards the mid-90s.

Michael van Gerwen 2-3 Rob Cross

Cross edges back in front on his throw.

There's not much more to say really.

Voltage and the Green Machine needs to spark some energy into this contest - and quick.
