Chiefs Super Bowl parade: Patrick Mahomes, Chris Jones eye a three-peat | Sporting News United Kingdom (2024)

Editor’s Note: This article was written before reports of a shooting at the conclusion of the Chiefs' parade. The Sporting News has the latest news and updates on the shooting here.

Chiefs fans know how to party. They’ve been able to practice a couple times over the past few years after all.

Millions of fans gathered throughout Kansas City to see the back-to-back Super Bowl champs. Grand Street and Union Station were filled to the brim before sunrise, and some even camped out Tuesday night. It’s a fun time being part of Chiefs Kingdom.

And Willie Gay kicked off the fun. The linebacker danced through the streets shirtless, shoeless and with a bottle of Hennessy while hyping fans.

Once the guys got to the stage, Patrick Mahomes did exactly what he did last year – pledge a repeat championship. The Super Bowl MVP apologized for the road playoff games and promised they’ll be back in Arrowhead next year en-route to a three-peat. Chris Jones followed it up with even better news of his return next season.

“I ain’t going nowhere, baby,” he screamed.

Who better to end the rally than Travis Kelce himself. The tight end belted yet another song on stage, but this time it was hardly audible. Drunk enough for the entire team, Kelce sang “Friends in Low Places” as the band played him off stage.

The Sporting News tracked live updates and highlights from the Chiefs' Super Bowl 58 victory parade. Check out the best moments of the parade below.
