Courtside 1891 Plus is a free subscription that gives you access to extended highlights and a curated feed for your favourite teams and competitions.
What is Courtside 1891 Max?
Courtside 1891 Max is a paid subscription that gives you access to live game streams and full game replays available on the platform.
You can buy a Max subscription on a recurring annual basis – giving access to all* available games – or on an event basis – all* games for the specific event or event window.
* Blackouts may apply in certain territories.

What can I watch on Courtside 1891?
Courtside 1891 hosts live and on-demand content from FIBA’s international competitions, including the qualifiers and finals of the Basketball Men’s and Women’s World Cups, FIBA Men’s and Women’s continental cup competitions and youth events. Also, watch live and on-demand content from club competitions such as Basketball Champions League, as well as premium highlights from Liga Endesa, Japanese B.League and so much more…
We will continue to expand the range of game content available on the platform in time. Courtside 1891 also hosts a number of other shows and boxsets including the FIBA World Basketball Show which help to showcase the best of basketball from around the world.
Do I need a subscription to watch videos?
The majority of live games and full game replays require a Courtside 1891 Max subscription in order to watch on the website and apps. Subscriptions can be purchased on the website.
Condensed games, extended highlights and other premium videos may require you to have a free Plus or Max account. You can register in app or on the website.
Where a Max or Plus account is needed to watch a video, you will see a relevant tag on or next to the video you wish to watch.
Some videos will have blackouts so will not be able to be viewed in your country.
What is a blackout?
Due to broadcasting rights and restrictions there are some games within the events we have on Courtside 1891 that we are unable to show in different countries around the world.
These “blackouts” are decided and governed by the owners of the events and competitions that we work with. If a game is blacked out in the country you are in, you will see a “Stream Unavailable” tag against the game you wish to watch within the Game Center tab.
Can I watch videos on my phone or tablet?
Courtside 1891 has been designed to work on your phone, tablet, laptop and desktop PCs.
Dedicated iOS and Android apps for your phone are available in both the App Store and Google Play Store. Please note, we do not currently have dedicated apps for tablet devices.

Can I cast videos onto my TV?
You are able to cast live and on-demand video to your TV as follows:
- From Chrome Browsers to a Chromecast device. To connect your browser to your Chromecast device, click "More" > "Cast" then select the device you wish to watch the stream.
- From Safari Browsers to Apple TV via AirPlay. To connect, click the AirPlay icon within the video player and select Apple TV.
- From the iOS app to both Apple TV via AirPlay and a Chromecast device. To connect, click on the respective icon within the video player
- From the Android app to a Chromecast device. To connect, click on the respective icon within the video player. Note, you will need a Chromecast device from 2015 onwards.
Please note, Google is ending support for Generation 1, release in 2013. Courtside 1891 will continue to support Chromecast for models from 2015 onwards.
How do I tell what generation my Chromecast is?
Check the firmware version of your Chromecast device
- Open the Google Home app.
- Touch and hold your device's tile.
- Tap Settings. Device information.
- Under "Technical information," check for Cast firmware: "X.XXX.XXXXX." If the device is on Fuchsia, check for System firmware version: "X.XXXXXXXX.X.XXXXXXX"

How do I reset my password on Courtside 1891?
If you have forgotten your password, you can request an email to be sent to your email address with a link to create a new password.
If you are already logged in and wish to update your password, you can do this within the Password section of My Account within the website or app.
How can I add/change the teams and competitions featured in My Feed?
If you wish to add or change your preferences, you can select or deselect your favorite teams within the “Preferences” section of My Account. You will soon have the ability to select the competitions that appear in My Feed.

Billing & Payments
Do all Courtside 1891 Max subscriptions auto-renew?
If you have bought an Annual Pass your subscription, unless stated otherwise when you sign up, will auto-renew each year on the anniversary of your first payment. If you do not wish for your subscription to be auto-renewed, please contact our Customer Services team in advance of your next payment in order for this renewal to be disabled.
if you have bought an Event Pass, your subscription and access will end on the date stated when you made your purchase.
How much does a Max subscription cost?
The cost of each Max subscription can be found on the choose a package site.
What payment methods can I use to buy a Max subscription?
You can purchase a Max subscription using one of the following payment methods:

Can I subscribe to Courtside 1891 via the NBA App or NBA.com?
The FIBA World Cup Event Pass which provides access to the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 only, is available via the NBA App and NBA.com in 20 countries and territories.* Blackouts on live games may apply.
However, if you have purchased a subscription through the Courtside 1891 app or via courtside1891.basketball, this will not give you access to live or on-demand games via the NBA App or NBA.com.
*Countries and territories included are Angola, Argentina, Cape Verde, Cote D’Ivoire, the Czech Republic, the Dominican Republic, Greece, Indonesia, Israel, Latvia, Lithuania, Mexico, Poland, Puerto Rico, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, Thailand, Turkey and the United Kingdom.
Can I purchase a Courtside 1891 World Cup Bundle or Max Annual Pass via the NBA App or NBA.com?
No. The World Cup Bundle* and Max Annual Pass are exclusive to Courtside 1891.

How can I watch FIBA World Cup games LIVE that are not available LIVE in my country on Courtside 1891?
Games that are not available live on Courtside 1891 in your country will be available for viewing on a national television network and/or broadcast station or other streaming platform.
